| NVCA is an independent, non–profit association supporting the interests of companies and persons who are active in the Norwegian private equity industry. Private equity is defined as the portion of the market that pertains to investments in unlisted companies with an active and time–limited ownership. This definition includes the entire private equity–sector, including buyouts.
The NVCA's objective is:
- To create greater understanding of the importance of the private equity industry for new business formation and future growth
- To establish a strong interest organisation which can bring the industry’s collective influence to bear on policies governing its activities, and promote collective expertise enhancement and development
- To build networks between private equitycompanies in Norway and abroad, and to establish effective collaboration with communities which need the industry’s expertise, such as research teams and universities
The NVCA offers no service or advisory functions for entrepreneurs, but provides information about private equity and the NVCA's members through our website etc. Entrepreneurs seeking funding to establish or develop businesses are welcome to take direct contact with the investing members of the NVCA (under the headlines "primary members" and "investing associated members" in the member directory on our website), or contact our other associated members for assistance in procuring capital and other services
